Shirley Rice, Administrative Assistant

My journey at Hollywood Elementary started in 1997 as a volunteer/ substitute teacher. I was hired in 2000 as a kindergarten aide and since then have been an aide in both pre-k and kindergarten, a literacy tutor, and a secretary. I currently serve as the administrative assistant for the school. I love working with children and the Hollywood community has become my extended family. I am so blessed to have a job that I enjoy each and every day.

Born and raised in Salina, Kansas, I have called South Carolina home for the past 33 years. I live on beautiful Lake Murray with my husband Randy. Together we own Renegade Trucking Company, LLC.

I have one daughter, Randi, and she and her husband, Jamie, call Crossville, TN home.

Linda Whorton, School Secretary

Hello, I’m Linda Whorton. I was born and raised in Columbia SC.  I attended Columbia Christian School until my last year of high school. Then I attended Saluda High School and graduated in 1977. My granddaughter, Kaileigh Smith currently attends Saluda High. I love boating & fishing. I received my Master's Degree in Business from Colorado Technical College.
