Hollywood Elementary School

Congratulations to Mrs. Haley McGlohorn for being Hollywood Elementary School's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. McGlohorn began her teaching career in 2001. Haley was a former Hollywood Hornet student and has been teaching 1st grade at HES since 2015, where she ignites passion and enthusiasm each and every day in her classroom. Haley's colleagues stated the following about her - "Haley is the embodiment of an educator who teaches the whole child and gives 110% everyday! Haley is very patient and loving and works hard to make sure all of her students are successful. She creates a wonderful learning environment where all students can and want to learn. She has a great relationship with her colleagues and parents and is an exemplary model teacher to represent HES! She is simply THE BEST!" The vision of our school is to empower students to be life-long learners who are Respectful, Organized, Cooperative, Knowledgeable, and Successful. Our Saluda and Hollywood mission and vision radiates in everything Mrs. McGlohorn does, such as her interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and our school community. She is always someone you can count on to bring positive energy each and every day, displays a strong work ethic, is a team player and does whatever it takes for her students at Hollywood Elementary School!
